I Achieved My Goal of Publishing This Year

From Rejection to Success

I am trying my best to remain humble and modest, but no matter how many times I receive an acceptance, I can’t withhold my excitement. As you all know, I received my first rejection letter of 2019, not too long ago. Of course, I’ve received a couple more since that first, but no amount of disappointment can compare to the sheer excitement I feel after receiving an acceptance letter. I officially achieved my goal for 2019.

Keep writing

I don’t know where you are in your journey to publication. Perhaps you are still waiting on your acceptance letter. I just wanted to take a moment to tell you that it will happen. As long as you keep writing and submitting, your time will come. The worst thing you can do to yourself is to give up. Please keep writing, get published, and let’s celebrate together.

Support other writers

On another note, let’s continue to encourage writers supporting other writers. This game of publication can often feel like a competition. Consequently, that can make it seem like every other writer is your enemy. Your writing is being compared to other writing, but that doesn’t mean the other writers are gunning to take you out. Everyone wants to be published, and we can all achieve that dream together. Thank you all for supporting me, and I will continue to support you all.

I achieved my goal this year and will have a poem published. What are/were your goals for this year? Let me know and comment below.

  1. Congrats on your upcoming publication! I’m meeting my writing goals but have to keep pushing myself to make more submissions. I have a nibble on something if I make some revisions and resubmit, so that’s motivating!

    1. Thank you so much! I hope my site is somewhat helpful as you navigate the world of writing and publishing. Please keep me posted as you go forward. I am always happy to support a fellow writer.
